Empty Mug Beer Club

Friends for Life. Beer for Eternity.

'Empty Mug Beer Club' is eight buddies from college who decided it would be a good idea to start their own beer club. They know they want to meet every so often, taste some good beers, and pick on each other. But, they don't know where to start. This is where Beer Club Hub comes in.

Someone's gotta lead...

The leader of Empty Mug Beer Club (let's call him Joe) stumbles upon our site and registers Empty Mug Beer Club.

Invitations are set...

Joe uses Beer Club Hub to send invitations to his buddies.

It Lives!

Each of Joe's buddies follows the link provided in the invitation email, and registers with Beer Club Hub. And a new club is born!

How serious do we really want to be?

Empty Mug Beer Club decides its wants to hold an annual competition to see who can find the best beers. They'll meet every month and everyone will bring a 6-pack of a new beer they haven't tried yet. At each meeting they'll taste and score each beer from 0-10 on flavor, head retention, color, and overall drinkabiliy. At the end of the year, the member with the highest average beer scores will be the winner. Joe creates a new Contest for the year using Beer Club Hub.

Start shopping...

The first meeting is next month, and Joe and his friends need to buy some beers. Joe creates a new tasting in Beer Club Hub so members can start registering beers. As Joe and his buddies buy beers, they register them in Beer Club Hub. Each member is automatically notified via email when a new beer is registered. When Joe is walking around the bottle shop for his next beer purchase, he can check Beer Club Hub online or the notification email to see which beers have already been picked.

Finally, time to drink

The first meeting comes to order and the tasting begins! Empty Mug Beer Club tastes as many beers as they want, as much as they want. Along the way, they use their handy-dandy smart phones and tablets to score each beer. Joe sets up his laptop in the corner too so everyone can see the scores live. At the end of the day, Joe closes the tasting and the designated driver takes everyone home.

Let the gloating begin!

In the morning, Joe and his buddies login to Beer Club Hub to review how everyone scored. They can see a detailed breakdown of each beer score, the current rank of each member in the competition, and much more.

And the winner is?

A year has gone by, and Empty Mug Beer Club has just finished it's 12th tasting. Joe and his buddies take a look at Beer Club Hub to see who the top three ranking members are as well who is in the bottom (Joe, of course). Wagers are settled and Joe goes home with a painted rock consolation prize. Time for Joe to create next years Contest (and start stepping up his game)!

The Ladies are Taking Over

The ladies at the office are bored of the annual office party. Instead, they decide to hold an annual beer exchange (Girls only, of course). Joanne is nominated to organize this event and figure out how to manage the 20 participants and the 20 cases of beer everyone is going to bring. This is where Beer Club Hub comes in.

By word of mouth...

Joe tells Joanne about Beer Club Hub and she immediately hops online to register the Red Rock Beer Exchange.

Now accepting members!

Joanne allows membership requests for the Red Rock Beer Exchange and tells all the ladies at the office to visit Beer Club Hub if they want to participate.

Sorry, do I know you?

As colleagues sign up with Beer Club Hub and request membership to Red Rock Beer Exchange, Joanne reviews each request just to make sure she knows who they are.

To see or not to see

Joanne creates a contest for this year's exchange and a new tasting so everyone can keep track of what was already purchased. This year, the exchange is going to be a blind tasting, so nobody will know which beer they are drinking.

Beep, Bop, Boop. Calculate...

The next day, all the ladies of the Red Rock Beer Exchange login to Beer Club Hub to checkout the results. Joanne's happy that her beer scored an average of 87/100 points and she came in 4th place. Although the tasting was blind, Debbie can now see the name of the 2 beers she marked as favorites.

Start planning for next year

Next year, Joanne can create a new contest and tasting. She can invite, accept, decline, remove, suspend, and manage the Red Rock Beer Exchange membership any way she sees fit. She can even recruit Debbie to help her out.
