Quick and Dirty
Getting started with Beer Club Hub is easy! We'll walk you through getting your club setup, recruiting members, creating your first contest, organizing your first tasting, and viewing results. Here are the basic steps.
Step 1
Create Your Club
After you register with Beer Club Hub, you will be given the option to either create a new club or to join an existing club.
To create a new club, click the Create Club button. Then enter your club's information on the next page. Click Create and voila! You just created a new beer club and you're the club's administrator!
Step 2
Recruit Members
As a club administrator, your first task after creating your club is to recruit some members. You may already have some people in mind. Consider friends, family, co-workers, your accountant... anyone you want! All you need is their email address.
You can send potential members an invitation via email. Click on Manage in your Club's menu and choose Members. This is your member management area. Click Actions and then choose Invite New Member. Fill out the invitation, including a personal message if you choose. Click Send Invitation and your email is on its way!
Step 3
Create a Contest
A Contest is a long running competition where you and your friends compete to supply the best beers. To create a new contest, click on Contests and Scoring in your Club's menu. Click Actions and then choose Create New Contest. Enter your contest information and options. Click the Create Contest button and your new Contest will appear in your list of Contests.

Step 4
Create a Tasting
Now that you have a Contest created, you can start adding tastings to it. A tasting is a meeting where your members taste and score beers.
On your Contests page, click on Tasting for the contest that you just created. Click Actions and then choose Create New Tasting
Enter your session information. Click the Create Tasting button and your new tasting will appear in your list. For suggestions on how to setup your session, see our page on How Contests Work
Step 5
Register Beer
Find your new tasting in the list, and click Register to register a new beer.
Enter the brewer name and beer name. Click the Search button. If you see your beer in the search results, click it's Register button. If you don't see your beer, you can either search again, or have your beer added by scrolling to the bottom and click Yes, Add This Beer. Now you're ready to drink!
Step 6
Score Beer
Now the fun begins! During your tasting, members taste registered beers. Members score the beers based on the categories you chose when setting up the session in Beer Club Hub. Members can login to Beer Club Hub and enter their scores using any device. Or you can collect scores from members and enter them yourself for each member.
Choose Contests and Scoring in your Club's menu. Choose your Contest and then click Score for the tasting. Find the beer you are scoring in the list, and click its Score Beer button. Enter your scores and click Save to submit them.
Done!
As scores are submitted, results are immediately updated in Beer Club Hub. To see the results as they unfold, click Contests and Scoring from your Club's menu. Choose your Contest. Find your tasting in the list, and choose Live Scores from the drop down handle. You can also choose Leaderboard to see which one of your members is winning.
Then repeat! Continue to create new contests and hold tastings. Be creative on how you run your contests to keep your member's interested. Find new and fun ways to make fun of the loser, or change up the prize for being on top. Beer Club Hub helps you manage your club, but it's up to you to keep it alive!

Scoring Systems
By default, members are ranked by the number of times they "win" a tasting. Change up the contest scoring system, so members are ranked by a point scale or overall beer scores. Keep it fresh by changing up the point system on your next Contest!
My Scores
We'll keep track of every beer you have ever scored so you don't have to. See which beer you scored the best across all your contests, tastings, and clubs. Mark your beer as a Favoriate when you score, and find it later on your My Scores page.
Blind Tastings PRO
We assign numbers to registered beers for you. You hand out the beers by number so nobody knows which beer is which. Members score using the beer number instead of the name. When the tasting is closed, the beer names are revealed in the results.
Event Calendar PRO
Never miss a tasting again! Our Event Calendar shows you every contest and tasting. Click on a tasting and we'll show what beers are registered.
Dues and Contest Fees PRO
Take up a collection to pay for that party food! You collect the money from members and Beer Club Hub will help you track who has paid what. If you want, we'll even send email reminders to members with the amount they owe.
